In May 2024, Avon Material Supplies (AMS) acquired the operations of Commercial Recycling (Southern) Limited (CRL), including four waste disposal sites in Dorset and Somerset.
This expansion will greatly benefit our customers, as it allows us to maximise the recovery of the waste we collect. The addition of these new sites to AMS brings a host of advantages designed to enhance our customers’ experience. Key benefits of our disposal facilities include:

Also, as with all the services we provide to individuals, businesses, and contractors in Dorset and Somerset, we’re committed to ensuring affordability. This is why we offer low minimum weight charges and competitive pricing at all sites. Additionally, for convenience, customers can pay using cash, card, or an approved credit account. Canford Recycling Centre in Wimborne
A fully-equipped trade waste recycling site with automated weighbridge services, hard-surfacing throughout, and dedicated tipping areas for different hazardous and non-hazardous wastes. Additionally, it is conveniently situated next to the Canford Inert Facility for inert tipping and the collection of various aggregates and concrete mixes.

Canford Inert Facility in Wimborne
Specialist facility for the disposal of inert waste. Tipped waste is transformed into quality recycled aggregates using various specialist screening, crushing, and washing equipment at our aggregate processing plant. Construction aggregates, soils, sands and ready-mixed concrete can also be collected on-site.

Somerset Recycling Centre near Shepton Mallet
Our Somerset trade waste recycling facility offers the same high-quality tipping services as Canford Recycling Centre. It features automated weighbridge services, hard surfaces, and dedicated tipping zones for various hazardous and non-hazardous wastes.

High Post Golf Club Inert Facility
This temporary inert tipping facility is one of our current land transformation projects and offers businesses a convenient place to dispose of inert waste close to Salisbury.
- Opening hours: Monday – Friday 07:30 am – 5:00 pm.
